Slottet, Det kongelige slott, kongens offisielle residens i Oslo, ligger for enden av Karl Johans gate, men har (fra 2012) adresse Slottsplassen 1, tidligere (fra 2006) Henrik Ibsens gate 1 og før det igjen Drammensveien 1. Slottet ble oppført som kongebolig under kongene Karl Johan og Oscar 1 i årene 1825–48 med H. D. F. Linstow som arkitekt. Det er et trefløyet anlegg på tre etasjer i empirestil, oppført av pusset teglstein.
