Scythe Works in England, dating from the Post-Medieval
A unique 18th-century industrial works on the River Sheaf in Sheffield, where scythes and other edged tools were manufactured. The site has a crucible steel furnace, tilt hammers powered by waterwheels, and workers' cottages. It is one of the best-preserved water-powered industrial sites in Britain.
