National Coal Mining Museum
Coal Mine in England, dating from the Post-Medieval
Based at the former Caphouse Colliery near Wakefield, which produced coal for over 200 years until 1985. Visitors descend 140 metres underground to experience authentic mine tunnels. The museum preserves the story of Britain's coal industry and the communities it shaped.
