Cotton Mill in Scotland, dating from the Post-Medieval
A model industrial village founded in 1786 by David Dale and later managed by social reformer Robert Owen, who pioneered workers' rights and cooperative living. The cotton mills and village are exceptionally well-preserved. UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001.
