Die evangelische Markuskirche in Hohenhameln-Equord ist ein herausragendes Beispiel italienischer Barockbaukunst mitten in Niedersachsen. Wegen ihrer besonderen Architektur wird sie auch „kleiner Petersdom“ genannt. Die Kirchengemeinde Mehrum-Equord gehört zum Kirchenkreis Peine im Sprengel Hildesheim-Göttingen der Evangelisch-lutherischen Landeskirche Hannovers.
