Die profanierte Kirche St. Hedwig gehörte zur Pfarrgemeinde Heilig Kreuz (Vlotho) und somit zum Pastoralen Raum WerreWeser des Dekanats Herford-Minden im Erzbistum Paderborn. Die Kirche war nach der heiligen Hedwig von Andechs benannt.
