Grane Plantage

Grane Plantage is a plantation in the western part of Silkeborg Kommune, located near Grane Langsø (one of the Tingdalsøer lakes). The area is surrounded by plantation and heath landscape and is part of the broader heathland afforestation effort that transformed the Central Jutland heath into managed forest from the late 18th century onward. The plantation represents the cultural landscape of organized heath planting characteristic of the region.
