This kulturmiljø designates Cold War military infrastructure between the towns of Hejnsvig and Vorbasse in Billund Kommune. The area lies near the former Flyvestation Vandel, which during the 1950s was developed as a NATO Redeployment Base with bunkers for bombs and explosives. These dispersed infrastructure installations are part of Denmark's Cold War total defence system, in which the state built facilities for the military, civil defence, and civilian authorities across the country.
