Byen har et velbevaret gammelt vejforløb mellem 6 ret store, uudflyttede gårde (9 gårde i 1682), heraf et godt eksempel på en proprietærgård (Bårupgård) i grundmur (ca 1870) med stor, parkagtig have. Byen har kun få gadehuse.
