This kulturmiljø covers a residential area east of the old Gentofte village, part of the municipality's extensive villa landscape. Gentofte Kommune is characterised by early urbanisation compared to other Copenhagen suburbs, and the well-developed transport infrastructure -- including the Kystbanen railway -- was crucial for its development. The area contains a mix of large villas, smaller houses, and some apartment buildings.
