Kulturmiljø in Denmark

This kulturmiljø is part of the Klampenborg area renowned for Arne Jacobsen's functionalist masterpieces from the 1930s: Bellevue Strandpark (1932), the Bellavista housing estate (1934), and Bellevue Teatret (1937). Together these form "Den Hvide By" (The White City), conceived as a synthesis of beach life, amusements, and housing in the Danish functionalist tradition. The area represents some of the earliest and finest examples of Modernism in Denmark.
