Nejede Vesterskov is a 110-hectare state-owned deciduous forest in the dead-ice landscape between Arresø and Alsønderup. The forest is dominated by beech and was designated as untouched forest in 1994 under the Natural Forest Strategy. It is an important bird locality with breeding white-tailed eagles since 2009 and beaver populations, and together with Alsønderup Engsø it forms a significant natural and cultural environment.
