Harløse is a village west of Hillerød with an ejerlav that preserves traces of the medieval and post-reform agricultural landscape. A railway station was opened 1 km east of the village in 1897 on the Hillerød-Frederiksværk line, connecting the rural settlement to the wider transport network. The ejerlav's parcellation patterns are still readable in living hedges, stone dikes, road courses, and old meadow areas.
