The Randers-Ryomgård Jernbane, opened in 1876 as part of the Randers-Grenå line, was a privately built railway that spurred the growth of new station towns with commerce and small industries along its route. The line passed through Strømmen, Volkmølle, Uggelhuse, and Fløes before continuing to Ryomgård and Grenå. After closure in 1971, much of the route was preserved and converted into a recreational cycling path, and Djurslands Jernbanemuseum in Ryomgård documents the line's heritage.
