Stevnstrup is a town of approximately 2,700 inhabitants that developed as a railway station town between Randers and Langå. The station received a small ticket office in 1876, and in 1904 a proper station building designed by Heinrich Wenck, DSB's leading architect, was put into use. The station was closed in 1972 and demolished in 1979, but Stevnstrup has continued to grow as a popular residential town near Randers.
