Borum Eshøj is one of Denmark's most famous Bronze Age monuments, a burial mound originally about 40 meters in diameter, located approximately 128 meters above sea level west of Aarhus. In the 1870s, three oak coffins dating to around 1350 BCE were discovered inside, containing the remarkably well-preserved remains of a woman and two men with some of the finest ancient textiles found in Denmark. The finds are held at the National Museum in Copenhagen, and the landscape around the mound has been restored with three reconstructed burial mounds.
