På Trelde Næs, samlede direktør Harald Plum i 1919 et areal ved at opkøbe lodder fra otte ejendomme. Han ville skabe et område, hvor ferie og fritid kunne dyrkes på naturarealer, der samtidigt kunne give et økonomisk afkast.
