Høng is a station town whose cultural environment communicates the area's development from village to railway town. The railways were decisive for the town's growth in the early 1900s, and Høng's development was closely tied to Vilhelm Pedersen's Machinery Factory, founded in 1910, which at its peak employed up to 275 workers.
