This kulturmiljø lies on the Røsnæs peninsula, a dramatic headland extending westward into the Storebælt. Røsnæs is known for its steep morainic hills, including the 37-metre-high Røsnæsknolden, and its extensive grazing commons (overdrev). The peninsula contains a fine cultural environment around the lighthouse and a preserved manor environment at Røsnæsgården, which was moved to its current location in 1815.
