Lerchenborg is a grand baroque manor established in 1704 as Østergård and renamed Lerchenborg in 1754 when it was constituted as an entailed estate (stamhus). The large main complex consists of an outer cobbled castle courtyard with stables, an inner courtyard with manor buildings, and a three-winged main building likely designed after drawings by Eigtved in 1743-1745. Most of the manor buildings and the important parts of the garden, including linden alleys and statues, are protected under building preservation law.
