Cotton Mill in England, dating from the Post-Medieval
Richard Arkwright's first water-powered cotton spinning mill, built in 1771. It pioneered the factory system of production that would spread worldwide and is considered the birthplace of the modern factory. Part of the Derwent Valley Mills UNESCO World Heritage Site.
