Rutsker is a small settlement in northwestern Bornholm, best known for Ruth's Church (from which it takes its name -- 'ker' means church in Bornholm dialect), the highest-lying church in Denmark at 130 metres above sea level. The settlement grew around a smithy and cooperative dairy, typical of Bornholm's rural communities. The Klemensker dairy cooperative, established in 1888, was among the first on Bornholm.
