Harlev Mølle/Ludvigsholm

Harlev Mølle is a watermill first mentioned in a 1340 document, located where Aarhus Å flows under Harlev Møllevej near Gammel Harlev, with several well-preserved 18th-century buildings still standing at the site. In the 19th century, Swiss-born Louis Johan Schucany expanded the mill through extensive land purchases and renamed it Ludvigsholm, before it reverted to its original name in 1957. The mill complex represents one of the oldest continuously identifiable mill sites in the Aarhus area.
