Helligpeder and Teglkås are two small neighbouring fishing settlements on Bornholm's west coast between Hasle and Vang, centred around intimate harbours and rows of traditional fishermen's cottages. In the 1930s around 20 professional fishermen worked from Teglkås. Helligpeder had four smokehouses, including Peter Finnes Røgeri from the 1880s, one of the oldest on the island. Nearby are remains of 18th-century coastal redoubts (skanser) that formed part of Bornholm's west-coast defence line.
