Fulden is a road village (vejby) along the edge of the Giber Å valley, known from 1335, with an unusually well-preserved settlement pattern of a village mill, eight farms, and one cottage along the old Fulden Byvej. The village has an exceptionally beautiful location in the broad Giber Ådal, in the transition between the flat stream landscape and steep hills to the south and east. The surrounding area is protected by a preservation order to safeguard its geological, botanical, and archaeological values.
